Attraction Marketing is Nothing New!

There’s nothing new about attraction marketing. Some guy named J. Christ used the concept over 2000 years ago to great effect. He positioned himself as the “son of god” and was able to establish a first downline of 12 distributors in his network marketing business. He was quickly able to give up his day job as a carpenter and concentrate on building up a huge following through random acts of kindness and passing on his wisdom free of charge to anyone who wanted to listen. This free advice was returned in the form of free meals and accommodation wherever he chose to travel.

He wasn’t the only one either. Another guy named Mohammad and another one who called himself the Bhudda (meaning enlightened one) all started similar networks. You can forget about Amway and Herbalife etc, these guys were competing for leads long before the internet and printed advertising. They did it simply by word of mouth and creating the illusion around themselves that they possessed wisdom that their followers could use to improve their lives with if implemented and followed with conviction.

They developed their businesses on such strong foundations that they spread throughout the world and split into many different sub networks all holding “opportunity meetings” in grandiose buildings called churches or temples.
J Christ’s business spread to the empire of Rome where these crafty entrepreneurs set about marketing the opportunity to every corner of the earth, using a very elaborate MLM system, squeezing subscriptions from their prospects and building a huge residual income for the upline residing in a tax haven they called the Vatican. It has survived to be one of the biggest money making ventures in the history of man.

Now it’s much easier to build your very own empire of abundance using an extremely powerful tool for reaching the masses. It’s called the Internet. Home based business, the direct marketing of products to consumers offers the greatest potential for generating unlimited incomes in the world today. Anyone regardless of their educational background can open their own business.

The Problem with Network Marketing.

It never ceases to amaze me the extreme polar views on the topic of network marketing and MLM. Some people are passionate about it and there are even business icons like Robert Kiyosaki doing it and advocating it. Yet, in many circles, you might as well declare yourself a leper as admit to being in network marketing.

So, what is the problem with MLM and network marketing?

As soon as you mention the term multi level marketing, many people assume that it’s a pyramid scheme. But you can't really take issue with the tiered compensation structure—almost every large sales organization in the world has that. Salespeople get commission, and sales managers get overrides or bonuses on top of that, and sales directors on top of that, and VPs on top of that.

Or maybe it's the fact that you have to pay to participate in it? But that can't be it—that's a standard franchising model. And I assure you, the franchise fee of most traditional franchises dwarf the sign-up cost of any MLM program by comparison.

Now certainly, there are illegal pyramid, or "Ponzi", schemes. This is where the money is all being made off of signing up other people, with little or no real product ever being delivered and trust me because I have fallen victim to this kind of scam. But in spite of whatever perceptions people may have, the fact is that Amway, Vitamark, Meleleuca, PrePaid Legal, Herbalife and many others have sold millions upon millions of dollars of products to happy customers, many of whom are NOT also reps. So, there may be a perception problem here, but if so, the perception is out of line with the reality.

But surely the bad reputation of MLM has some more basis in fact than the occasional illegal pyramid scheme?

The real problem with MLM is not the concept itself, but some of the people it attracts. Network marketing is just a business model, and it really amounts to "micro-franchising". Its upside is that it has a very low cost of entry, with the potential for exceptional revenue, and there are those who achieve that.

But those same things that make it attractive , attracts many who are NOT really qualified or prepared to become business owners. The salient characteristics of MLM make it attractive to people who:

• have not done well in their business or profession and have little money saved up to invest
• have no previous experience owning or running a business
• have no previous experience in sales
• have little or no experience developing business relationships other than that of employer/employee/co-worker
• are not satisfied with their current level of income
• have unrealistic expectations of the amount of work involved compared to the revenue realized

I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with any of these things, or that this describes even a majority of network marketers, only that it describes a disproportionate number of network marketers, and that many of them never do anything about it.

 Many network marketers end up:
• over-selling the opportunity
• inappropriately discussing business in social situations
• coming across as desperate
• over-focused on new recruits and neglecting existing customers as a result
• being either inaccurate or deceptive when talking about their business

I'm certainly not saying that this describes a majority of network marketers, but it does describe enough of them to tarnish the reputation of the rest. To pre-judge someone based on the basis of a small minority of people in that group is horribly unfair, but we must realize that most prejudices have some basis in reality, even if it has been distorted.

So what's the solution?

There's a first time for everything. And network marketing/MLM is a great opportunity for people to have their first business, their first sales role, etc. My point is this; recognize it for what it is: it's a business, and you are a business owner. And if you've never owned a business before, if you've never done sales before, if you've never networked before, you need to learn about how to do so, not just from the network marketing/MLM experts, but from established experts in those fields.

Network marketers who are serious about building a business should be reading and learning about business fundamentals, the latest sales and marketing techniques, strategies for networking and business development, etc., not just swapping tips at your team's weekly or monthly meeting. Act like a small business owner, and people will treat you like one.

The Biggest Mistake in MLM Business

It’s incredible how the vast majority of people I speak to on a daily basis are making this one SINGLE mistake that is seriously damaging any chances of them having success in their business.

Want to know what it is?

Every single one of them are promoting their Network Marketing business from the front end. Both online and offline.

Let me clarify.
You have joined a Network Marketing/MLM business and believe that it is the best thing since sliced bread and in order to make the business viable, you are making a long list of your friends and inviting all of them to some sort of business presentation where they can get to know the business and product.
If you’ve been doing this for a while and are wondering why you are still broke even though you’ve been churning and burning through lists of people you know and listened to exactly what your upline told you to do, it’s because you are making the biggest mistake that 95% of Network Marketers make!
This is a massive problem that almost all Network Marketers face at one point or another in their career.

Let’s break down why this is a dire strategy for growing a Network Marketing business:
1. Your friends and family are NOT entrepreneurs and don’t want to build a business
2. They have different dreams and goals and rarely have the same beliefs that you do about Network Marketing
3. They are an untargeted group who need to be educated on what Network Marketing even is in the first place
4. You have a limited number of people that you personally know and can call on
5. When you have spoken to all your friends, you will need to hit the cold market to continue to grow your business
6. Hitting the cold market requires thick skin and top notch salesmanship in order to capitalize on
7. Most people will fail miserably at sales
8. You will need to train your team to go through this same excruciating process
If you think that these points don’t apply to you or your business, then you’re either in denial OR you are born to be a salesmen and have skills that 95% of this industry will never have. In that case, this post does not apply you.
However, if you’re anything like me or the other 95% of people out there then read on…

So now that you’re all disillusioned about what to do and are asking yourself why you even joined this industry in the first place, don’t worry, I have good news!
There is still a way to market your business, get the results you are really looking for, and skip those horrible 8 points that most marketers end up going through.

The trick is to combine 2 vital components.
The Internet + Attraction Marketing

This powerful combination has single handedly killed the problem of sponsoring and having to be the super-salesmen that it is near impossible to be.
The main goal of Attraction Marketing is to FIRST build a relationship and trust with people on auto-pilot, before you even ask them to buy into anything. Since Network Marketing always has and always will be a relationship business, people tend to join people that they like, trust and respect. And if you learn how to do this, then you will be churning out new recruits like you’ve never seen.
Incorporating this idea with the Internet allows you to cross borders and hit a massive amount of people that you can now “target”. This along with certain “tools” will help you to create leverage in your business to allow you to scale out your business and get you to your goals more quickly.

So if you want to stop being that person that calls your friends and family 10 times a day trying to get an answer or the person that everyone ignores because they’re afraid you’ll pitch them about your business, then all you have to do is click here for some real NETWORK MARKETING SECRETS.

The Evolution of the Internet

The Internet has been around for quite some time now, but there have been some recent developments in the online world in the last few years that have brought marketing online to a whole new level. For starters, there are more qualified, working class people that are using the Internet to network, keep in touch with their friends and do business. This phenomenon has lead to the explosion in social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Squidoo just to name a few.

Also, more than ever, people are starting to realize that the Internet is a great place to market their Network Marketing business. They are able to reach a global audience, they can truly work from home, and they can use tools online to leverage their time which is just not available in offline marketing strategies. But bringing your Network Marketing business onto the Internet does have its fair share of challenges as well.

Being as diverse and massive as the Internet is, most newbie Network Marketers have no idea where to start and most have no idea what they are doing. There are way too many that spend countless hours on the computer without really doing anything productive. Some can only generate a few leads and most don’t really turn a profit.

So here are 3 tips that you can use right away to really understand how to grow your MLM business properly on the Internet.

#1. Learn To Master Different Marketing Platforms
It is essential that you get proper training on the different places that you wish to market your business on. So for example, if you have researched or decided that Facebook is one of the marketing platforms that you would like to use to grow your business on, then become a Facebook marketing pro. There is no point having 5,000 friends if you have no idea how to monetize them or turn them into leads.
Remember that marketing is a skill. And just like any skill it requires education and practice. So make sure you get the right training by becoming a member of a system, or by following mentors online who know what they are doing. Thinking that you can figure it out yourself is possible, however it can take a lot of time and most people fail miserably.

#2. Pick 2 or 3 Strategies To Focus On
After you have identified the marketing strategies you wish to pursue, pick 2 or 3 and get really good at them. Learn every aspect of each platform and tweak them until you can crank out a satisfactory number of leads from them every single day. There is no point using 10 strategies and spreading yourself too thin. This way you will not be able to gain traction in any of them and will probably leave you pissed off, frustrated and broke.

#3. Be Consistent
Once you are working on those marketing strategies, make sure you put in consistent effort and stay the course. There is no point posting one article on one site once a week! That will yield you zero results. Instead you should be posting articles every single day in the 20 or so article sites that you have identified. And remember that results do take time to blossom. So be consistent and take action every day.

By using these 3 methods and realizing that it is essential to become a marketing expert in certain areas of the Internet, it really helped my business and I started to get the results that I wanted.

Harness the Power of the Internet.

The Network Marketing industry has the power to build more millionaires than any other industry in the world. Yet thousands of network marketers constantly get cursed by failure while they are trying to reach financial freedom. So let’s see what we can do to cure them.

Curse #1: Prospecting VS. Marketing
Most network marketers are told by their upline to “prospect” and pitch other people their opportunity. This means that you are constantly chasing other people. By “marketing” your business the right way you can position yourself as a leader and attract prospects towards you and your business.

Curse #2: Pitching Uninterested People
By pitching every Tom, Dick and Harry your opportunity, you are pitching to a group of unqualified, uninterested people. By using tools available online and by using smart marketing tactics offline, you can target a specific market of interested, qualified people.

Curse #3: Running Out Of Prospects
Everyone only knows so many people and when that list is exhausted you have to resolve to buying leads and pitching random people on the street. This can be tiring and expensive. Instead of doing this, you need to be attracting people towards you by advertising and creating good and free content by using a source as abundant as the Internet.

Curse #4: Running Out Of Money
Most Network Marketers spend all their savings because they are not able to recruit enough people in their first few months. Remember that this is sales and it does take some time for your pipeline to grow. The solution is to have a Funded Proposal where you can make smaller but decent income in a matter of weeks, not months even if people DO NOT join your main MLM business.

Curse #5: Little Or No Duplication
The average Network Marketer still has a full time job. So where will they find the time to train every single one of their new recruits? It becomes an endless and tiring cycle of training new reps. Instead, there needs to be a system in place where new reps can go and plug themselves in to get all the training they need through webinars, tools and resources.

Curse #6: Repeated And Wasted Effort
Going to 10 meetings a day to pitch your business opportunity for your entire career as a network marketer can be extremely challenging. People run out of steam and it becomes very repetitive. It is easier to be able to create good content like articles and videos and post them on specific sites online which will work for you on auto pilot 24/7.

Curse #7: Unable To Build Trust Without Constant Follow Up
In order to be successful, network marketers are always playing the “follow up” game. It is essential to building trust with prospects especially when you start to hit the cold market. You can build a much more meaningful relationship with your prospects on auto pilot just by setting up your own auto responder email series and incorporating videos and other media of yourself.

Curse #8: Stuck In Prehistoric Times
Over 95% of Network Marketers out there are still stuck in prehistoric times and are using very old methods which are ineffective for most people, to try to capture modern day prospects. Why not use current forms of marketing like the Internet which are much more effective.

Curse #9: Wrong Mentality
A lot of Network Marketers out there think that this business is a “get rich quick” thing. They come in with the wrong attitude, get burnt and then wail about how all MLM’s are a scam. The sooner they understand that Network Marketing is a real business and takes time to build, the better it will serve them.

Curse #10: Over Diversifying
Spread your eggs into different baskets. That is what we are taught. We are not buying stocks and investments here however. And with Network Marketing, it is important to focus on ONE opportunity. How can you expect to be successful in 3 businesses, if you are not even successful in one? FOCUS is key

3 Keys to success in Online Marketing

Did you know that more than 90% of Network Marketers around the world spend more money than they make every single week? Did you also know that more than 90% of them have no idea what they are doing and spend hours online everyday without getting any results?

The statistics are crazy and yet there are more and more Network Marketers who are blindly flocking to the Internet in the hopes that they will be able to get their business off the ground. But the problem is, most of them are flying blind. They have no training, no guidance and no hope of getting the results that they want.

If you think about it, this makes total sense. Network Marketing is a real business. Yet there are so few that really treat it like one. How can people expect to be successful in a particular niche if they don’t do their homework and due diligence first? For example, if you were going to open a restaurant, wouldn’t you do all the necessary ground work before you opened your doors for business? Definitely! Otherwise you would flush tens of thousands of dollars of investment down the drain. Network Marketing is no different.

Just because there are many ways to grow your MLM business online for free does not mean that a good foundation is not necessary. In fact it’s even more crucial because there are so many mistakes that you can make because the Internet is so huge!

These are the things you need to put in place to start driving leads to your business and to start generating some real profits:

#1. Understand The Basic Concepts Of Marketing

To be able to market effectively online in Network Marketing, it is essential to understand what works and what doesn’t. If you have been promoting your company’s brand name and product benefits relentlessly, this is the reason why you have not had any success. People do not care about business opportunities. There is more than enough of those to go around. What people want is help and guidance on how to become successful in their MLM company. So instead of bashing people on the head with another opportunity, you need to learn how to offer value and market the only thing that counts – YOU!

#2. Learn Proper Marketing Strategies

The Internet is too vast for you to get results on your own. It is vital that you are taught and trained on what works and what doesn’t. It is possible to go out there are try to figure it out yourself, but most people do not have the time and most fail miserably anyway. Find a mentor or use a system to train you on how to market effectively on every single platform possible. This goes for offline marketing as well. There are some offline strategies that work like a charm, and some that you probably already do, that are a complete waste of time.

#3. Use A System

You cannot succeed in the online game if you don’t have a system in place. You cannot attract people into your business by blasting people with your opportunity and using your corporate replicated website. You need proper sales funnels, email auto responders, websites and tracking systems to really capitalize on this market. And if you don’t understand what I just said, you have a lot of work to do. Now you could go out there and figure out each piece of the puzzle one by one, spend a fortune developing the sites you need and then spend months putting them together, which I don’t recommend. Or you could find a ready-made fully customizable system that works.

By putting these steps together and using a system that will allow you to grow your business and create multiple streams of income to get money into your pocket in weeks not months, will really allow you to stop wasting time online and gain real traction in your Network Marketing business.
